In recognition of Craig Millet's retirement after 33 years as a Band Director at St. Amant High School, we have commissioned two-time American Bandmasters Association/Ostwald Award winner, Aaron Perrine to compose a work for wind ensemble in his honor. This is an exciting endeavor for our band program, our school, and our friend and mentor.
Completion of the piece is due for December, 2022 with our World Premiere in Spring of 2023. After our premiere, the piece will be published for worldwide distribution with the appropriate inscriptions honoring Craig and the St. Amant High Bands.
As you can imagine, commissioning a piece of this caliber from a composer of this acclaim comes with a cost. Our goal is to raise $10,000. This includes the cost of the commission, the engraving fees, and expenses involved in bringing Mr. Perrine to St. Amant High for sessions and rehearsals with our bands and for the world premiere performance.
This is where we need your help! We know that Craig has impacted the lives of thousands of student musicians across his career. If you would like to contribute to this project, please consider a sponsorship or donation. Every person, organization, or business that contributes will have their names included in the commissioning project and will be recognized in advertising material, at the program premiere, and all other promotional material related to the commission.
