Marching Bands

The marching band program at St. Amant High School provides the foundation for our musical experiences. All three performance ensembles come together along with the color guard and dance team to form a competition group of nearly 200 members.

The marching band at St. Amant began pefroming cometitively in 1999, and has since built for itself a record and tradition of trmendous growth and excellence, both musically and visually. Since its introduction in the competition circuit, the St. Amant Marching Band has never scored other than straight superiors in band and auxiliary performance, and since 2000, has scored straight superiors in all captions at all competitions and festivals, including 1st place finishes in Auxiliary and Band at the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands, Louisiana's premiere marching contest. In 2004, the band was named the AAA Class Champions at the Louisiana Showcase, and was ranked 5th overall in that competition. Since then, the band has been the top ranking AAA Band in Louisiana, and has placed as high as 2nd place overall.
